The DTM presents exciting racing like no other touring car championship!

DTM represents the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (German Touring Car Masters); a car racing series based in Germany with rounds spread across Europe.
From 2000 onwards, the new DTM continued the former Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (German Touring Car Championship) and ITC (International Touring Car Championship)

2013: Mercedes-Benz and the DTM
  • Mercedes-Benz with six DTM Mercedes AMG C-Coupés for 2013 season, fielded by RSC Mücke Motorsport and HWA
  • Mercedes-Benz has youngest DTM squad of all three manufacturers – average age, 23 years
  • Mercedes-Benz – 168 victories, ten drivers’, thirteen team and nine manufacturers’ titles – most successful brand in DTM

Mercedes-Benz will enter six DTM Mercedes AMG C-Coupés in the DTM this season. The successor to the AMG Mercedes C-Class, the most successful DTM car of all time in the series, celebrated its race debut last year with a one-two victory at the season-opener in Hockenheim.

In the second year of the new Technical Regulations that were so successfully introduced last year, the brand with the three-pointed star is concentrating on a smaller but harder-hitting DTM task force based on the well-experienced DTM teams of HWA and RSC Mücke Motorsport.

This driver line-up is very much in the tradition of bringing on young drivers, which has played such a big role at Mercedes-Benz for many decades. With an average age of 23 years, the Mercedes-Benz driver team is by far and away the youngest of the three top manufacturers represented in this year’s DTM.

The 2013 DTM race calendar

  • The 2013 DTM season extends over ten race weekends, all of which count towards the drivers’, constructors’ and team championships.
  • Tradition dictates that the campaign both begins and ends at the Hockenheimring in Baden-Württemberg.
  • The world’s most popular touring car series makes its debut in Russia this year in a fixture at the Moscow Raceway on the weekend of 3rd/4th August.
  • Six of the ten races are to be contested in Germany, with four foreign countries also playing host: the UK, Austria, Russia and the Netherlands.
